As the Director of Marketing, Luca Barberis currently heads the marketing team of ZALORA Malaysia, Asia’s Leading Online Fashion Destination. His roles include managing the company’s marketing activities, ranging from paid advertising to public relations and corporate partnerships. Luca is also responsible for ZALORA’s many successful marketing efforts, working together with Malaysia’s top designers; Jovian Mandagie, Syomir Izwa, and Rizalman, to bring forth exclusive collection launches. Luca is also the founder of DS Ltd; the online and mobile publisher, running a portfolio of websites with up to 1Mil visitors per day. The company works in online advertising, software downloads and mobile apps distribution; with a focus on India, Brazil and South East Asia. Prior to working with Rocket Internet and ZALORA, he was the Marketing Manager of Wooga, Berlin, one of the top mobile and social games developers in Europe. His roles included managing the global marketing budget, coordinating with product managers, engineers and designers to bring games to market, and developing the internal mobile advertising tracking solution. Prior to that, Luca held the position of Google Account Manager and Strategist, where he managed a $6+ Mil/Quarter portfolio of businesses (from startups to large enterprises), advising customers on a range of topics, whilst also providing his services as an Industry Analyst to support Google customers’ growth.
